Q: What exactly are you working on now?
A: Around November 2012, I met up with Josh Kerr from Windsor Auto Detail, my best client. Long story short, I kept in touch with Josh over the years, and in November 2012, he pitched me on a new company he was starting called Written.
Q: What the hardest decision you have had to make?
A: In 2013 I was brought back onto Site Slinger in January as a consultant to help them with some stuff while I was also working on building Written.com. My time at Site Slinger went really well and I basically had the opportunity to buy back into the company and start running it again and tasked with the job of basically getting it to $1 million in annual revenue. The problem was I had already committed to Written, and so I ultimately had to choose between Site Slinger and Written—both which were really interesting and potentially very lucrative opportunities.
Q: Why was it such a tough decision?
A: It was a really tough decision for me because I had a great team at Written and a really cool idea that we are working on. But also, I still had some attachment to SiteSlinger, and it was guaranteed money too for me, because I knew I could hit my goal in year. Written on the other hand, is much riskier and what we are building is very difficult. I ultimately walked away from SiteSlinger because the people I am working with at Written are excellent and working with a great team is very important.
