The big news today was the release of Microsoft’s 2010 version of its office suite. This post will not go into details of the product, but as a person and professional, don’t you find it hard to justify a $499 ($349 online) expense when you can easily produce the same documents (or close) with free products like Google Apps and OpenOffice? Maybe it’s wrong thinking, but you could easily create all of my proposals, presentations, and workflows using free software that look great. Documentation aside, Evolution, Thunderbird, and Google Apps work just fine for any email needs.
Maybe it’s ignorance, but what are some REAL reasons to buy Office 2010?
